MUSEUM BY ALIVAR
In 1984 the bright idea that inspires and moves MVSEVM to this day was born. In fact, the inspiring principle dates back to the 1960s, when the creative works of the masters of modern design were only visible in museums or specialized publications. The attention paid to observing the cultural panorama of our century, in search of authors whose furnishing works are those that best express contemporary taste, has led to the reproduction in the “Classics of modern furniture” of authors known to the general public such as Mies Van der Rohe, Alvar Aalto, Marcel Breuer. Along with these, there are also other equally valid and disconcertingly topical, but less known designers, such as Jean Michel Frank, Takehiko Mizutani, Frederick Kiesler, Gerald Summers, Wassili and Hans Luckardt, Isamu Noguchi, George Nelson and Jules Leleu. These furnishing accessories, finished with care and constantly updated on the basis of research and studies, faithful in shape and type of materials to the original projects, are offered to today’s public.
