Bronze embossed painted metal base (GFM18). The Dodo blown glass coffee table is made with the ancient Balloton technique, typical of the artisanal tradition of Murano glass masters. The body of the Dodo glass coffee table features a three-dimensional pattern of crisscrossing rhombi, obtained from a metal mold. The points contained within the mold, following blowing, shape the molten glass and create the typical faceted effect of balloton work. At the top, a mandala pattern is created, slightly off-center at the point where the rhombuses of the mold join, making a decoration reminiscent of the petals of a flower or the perfect patterns, also taken from Buddhist tradition, by which nature expresses its magnificence. The optical effect is spectacular, further accentuated by the purplish shading of the smoked crystal. The light reverberates between the regular ripples and returns a soft and delicate effect. The three supports that make up the legs have a sharp shape that contrasts with the roundness of the designer coffee table. Also thanks to this detail, the overall effect has a retro flavor adapted to contemporary style. This coffee table is an expression of the grandeur of handcrafted glasswork.
